Panasonic EY6405FQKW 12-Volt Drill/ Driver Kit with 2 2.0Ah Ni-Cd Battery Packs

Panasonic EY6405FQKW 12-Volt Drill/ Driver Kit with 2 2.0Ah Ni-Cd Battery PacksImpressively compact, lightweight, and comfortable to use, Panasonic's 12-volt drill/driver fits into tight spaces where other bulkier drills won't. What about power? This Panasonic packs up to 293 inch-pounds of torque, while the motor's speed control allows full torque delivery at any speed, with dual speed ranges of 0 to 400 and 1 to 1,300 rpm. The 2 amp ni-cad batteries provide solid run time and charge in just 30 minutes. But the first thing you notice about this tool is how compact it is (the chassis measures only 8 inches) and how comfortable it feels in your hand. The soft-pad grip provides extra cushion and the balance is superb, two important features if you wield a cordless day in and day out. The tool lacks an onboard bit holder, but that's about all it lacks. This drill is a smart buy for plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and even woodworkers--in short, anyone who wants a small, compact drill that packs a lot of torque and is built to last. The package includes two 2 amp ni-cad batteries, a universal charger, and a hard-plastic carrying case. --Jon Groebner

Customer Review:Great Drill!I did my homework and looked at the price/power/weight/recommendations for a drill to have around the house and this was it. It replaced a corded Black & Decker so it's an incredible step up. For a home owner (not professional construction) more than 12 volts would be over kill. Panasonic is also newer model than most of the competition from what I researched. If you are one who thinks that technology only evolves for the better as time goes on this is something to consider. Best Cordless Drill I've Owned! This is the first Panasonic drill I've purchased and I really love it. Much better than any of the Porter Cable drills I've owned. As others have said, this Panasonic is light, compact and very powerful. It's actually smaller than a 9.6v Porter Cable drill I had and the balance and ergonomics are far better. The Porter Cables' keyless Jacobs chucks required two hands to tighten while the Panasonic's chuck requires just one. It also seems to be more precise with no visible runout. I have yet to have a bit come loose in over a year of operation.
The Panasonic's trigger won't pinch a finger like some on the market and the reverse button can be easily pushed with either a finger or a thumb. I also like the battery configuration. The battery is the post style (like DeWalt's) and slides up into the handle, with a positive click to lock. The battery release buttons on each side of the case are large and easily squeezed one handed to remove the battery. The battery can be inserted into the charger just as simply. Porter Cable switched to a horizontal slide lock for their batteries several years ago, which I found very inconvenient. Another nifty feature is this Panasonic drill can stand on the battery pack for quick retrieval without tipping over. I've never owned or used a Porter Cable drill that could do that.
Panasonic cordless tools are generally not available in the big boxes, but are certainly worth looking for at an alternative source. I highly recommend this tool, you won't be disappointed.
Best of the bestI have used many cordless driver / drills over the years - this one is the best.
Perfectly balanced, very lightweight, and extremely powerful - it rivals my Bosch 18V.
The drill / driver really impressed me most with it's ability to drive a 3" deck screw, whilst I barely squeezed the trigger - the torque is phenomenal!
This is the second one I have purchased - the one I bought for work 3 years ago is still going strong, and was recommended to me by our supplier (who deals in all the top names).
You won't be disappointed and at $130 it's a bargain! Keywords: Cordless Tools; Combo Packs; (Volt); (V);

FuturesIncludes book of rafter lengths and roof construction;Sturdier than typical L-shaped framing squares;12" x 12" x 17" size;3/16" thick aluminum alloy;Ideal saw guide;
Customer Review:Outstanding Tool.One of the most usefull tools. You know, when you buy this, this and that only few things are realy used on a regular basis. If I would need to pick the first tree it would be jigsaw (Bosch), drill (Makita) and Swanson Speed Square. SEVEN TOOLS IN ONE!This works as a Tri Square, Miter Square, Protractor, Line Scriber, Saw Guide and Stair Guage! I guess the "seventh" tool job it performs as is a straight edge! It comes with a movable layout bar to fit out of square corners. The numbers are big enough to read and just an all around good product. It comes with a handy pocket sized booklet with useful information and INSTRUCTIONS for use. Excellent!The originators of the Speed Square still make the best ...... and the 12" is the best of the best. Solid construction and easily read markings that won't wear off like paint set it apart from other brands. Keywords: Measuring & Layout Tools; Squares;

Customer Review:bay cross constructionThe quality of the batteries is excellent. The batteries last quite a while and stay charged for a while as well. The shipping time turn around is also a help. Also gotta love the free shipping. DeWalt 18V BatteriesMy old batteries had finally died and I was going to send them to an Ebay seller who replaces insides but Amazon.com had this deal that was about the same price for new upgraded batteries. How could I go wrong? DissappointedThe ad was too good to be true, longer run time. I have four eighteen volt drills, two saws and flash lights, and a countless number of batteries. I'm always charging batteries and the new ones I bought don't last any longer then the others. I did need new batteries anyway but the hype about them lasting longer is bull. Leatherman 64010103K Micra, Stainless, Scissors based Pocket Multi-Tool
Futures25 year limited warranty;Key chain sized;Spring action scissors;Weighs just 1.75 oz.;Knife, tweezers, 3 screwdrivers and more;
Customer Review:A great keychain tool, I use mine nearly every dayI read some place that the difference between a man and an animal is that humans use tools. The proliferation of multi-tools like the micra may be proof of that theory. I have mine hooked to my car keys and use it just about every day. Just this morning, I snipped a plastic wrapper on a package of cashews with the scissors and yesterday I filed a chipped fingernail that was catching on just about everything.
The size, weight and shape are just right and encourage you to carry it every day. Caution - You can't carry it on a plane so remember to leave it at home or pack it in your checked bags. If you don't, the guards will take it. Also, recently, I was stopped at the door of the Meadowslands arena by a security guard and was told that I had to put mine in the car if I wanted to enter. That's me, armed and dangerous with a nail file! The only complaint is the tweezer - mine is just about useless. The jaws do not meet evenly and the fact that the tweezer will not come off the tool make it a zero in my book. Hence a 4 out of 5 stars. Perhaps, maybe mine is unusual? All in all, this is neat gadget and for twenty bucks, a bargain to boot. Awesome little LeathermanI bought a Micra bundled with the New Wave. This little Leatherman is built very solid and it packs a lot of useful tools. I'm using it as a keychain and its size is adequate for this purpose. Very good job Leatherman! Compact, practical & sturdyI've owned and used a Micra for several years now. This small tool has proven itself over and over. Its perfect compact size allows you to carry it in even the smallest pockets or use it as a keychain.
The scissors are the primary tool and they are tougher than they look. I've owned several Victorinox pocket knives (one for almost 20 years) and the scissors have always failed. The scissors on these models (at least the ones I've owned) are serrated while the Micra's are not. If you're looking for a clean cut edge the Micra is the better choice.
The other tools on the Micra - screwdrivers, tweezers, small blade, bottle opener, etc. - are all very good for their intended use. About the only complaint I have is that the measuring marks on the outside shell aren't more clear. Still, it's likely that most people won't use the Micra for this purpose.
